The hygienic status of medical refrigerators was analyzed

1. With the development of medical technology, many new drugs, special biological agents and chemotherapy drugs need to be stored in cold storage or low temperature. As a special part of clinical medication management, refrigerator drug management has been paid more and more attention.

In a study on the cleanliness of 71 medical refrigerators, the total number of bacterial colonies on the surface of two refrigerators exceeded 10 CFU / C m2, which came from the laboratory and outpatient pharmacy respectively; fungi were detected in 27 refrigerators, Staphylococcus aureus was detected in 5 refrigerators; Acinetobacter baumannii was detected in 4 refrigerators; no coliform bacteria was detected in all refrigerators. Fungi were detected on the surface of medical refrigerators in pharmacy, laboratory and general ward. Staphylococcus aureus and Acinetobacter baumannii were detected on the surface of refrigerators in pharmacies and general wards. Fungi were detected on the surface of one refrigerator in ICU and Staphylococcus aureus was detected in one refrigerator in ICU. Similarly, in another qualitative study on the cleanliness of refrigerators in 46 nursing units, 27 nursing units were clean, accounting for 58.7%; 16 nursing units were poorly cleaned, accounting for 34.8%; and 3 nursing units were not clean, accounting for 6.5%.

According to the requirements of hygienic standard for hospital disinfection (GB 15982-2012), the total number of colonies on the surface of class III and IV environmental objects in the hospital shall be ≤ 10 CFU / C m2, and the departments with serious pollution shall be intervened as soon as possible to ensure medical safety. In daily work, medical staff often open the refrigerator, pick up and touch. If the hand hygiene compliance is poor and the refrigerator surface disinfection is not in place, it will lead to serious microbial contamination of the refrigerator and easily cause cross infection. The causes of medical refrigerator pollution were analyzed

1. The effective disinfection measures and frequency of refrigerator in hospital ward were not established.

3. There is no regular monitoring mechanism for microbiological contamination of refrigerators in hospitals.

Daily management of medical refrigerator:

1. Strictly abide by the "technical specification for disinfection of medical institutions", take appropriate disinfection methods according to the specific situation, and regularly (1-2 times / week) wipe and disinfect the refrigerator to ensure the quality and safety of medical care. In the Department, the head nurse designates a nurse as the refrigerator quality controller, who checks the quality of drugs and articles in the refrigerator every week, and is responsible for a complete maintenance of the refrigerator, including the detection of thermometer, thorough cleaning, disinfection, defrosting, medicine sorting and other items, and confirms and signs. If conditions permit, refrigerator dehumidifier can be used to prevent the growth of fungi due to humid environment.

2. The most commonly used disinfection method of medical refrigerator is to wipe the external surface of medical refrigerator with chlorine containing disinfectant. The concentration of disinfectant is different in different departments. Disinfectants containing 500 mg / L effective chlorine were mainly used in general ward and ICU, and the disinfection frequency was basically once a week; the concentration of disinfectant used in pharmacy and blood bank was between 500 mg / L and 1000 mg / L, and the wiping frequency was once a week. For departments with serious pollution, chlorine or bromine containing high-efficiency disinfectants with concentration of 500-1000mg / l can be used. Departments with high pollution risk or frequent contact with patients can implement disinfection frequency once a day. According to the relevant requirements of "hospital disinfection health standard", it is necessary to strictly control the bacteria carrying situation of refrigerator storage room to reduce the occurrence of iatrogenic infection.
